Below I’ve collected some special events happening in the month of August. Some require advanced registration.
Probably the biggest event this month is the Solar Eclipse. You can find tons of information about this on the city website. If you haven’t thought about the eclipse, it’s worth checking out, because there is going to be a huge influx of people in our town and you don’t want to be unprepared. Many businesses and schools have already planned to be closed this day. Bushman Planetarium is running several showings of Totality in preparation for the event.
The Chiefs Training Camp is also up and running, so be sure to check out their schedule for days that you can go to practice and get autographs.
There are several opportunities to paint rocks for the Kindness Rock Project – see their facebook page or our activity calendar to keep up with those events.
